Cansym was founded in July 2020 by Kushal Kodnad (High School Student)

 

CanSym is helping countless individuals detect lung cancer at an early stage so that they can get medical help sooner for a potential cure. Lung cancer impacts many people, even those who don't smoke or drink alcohol. This is typically Non small-cell lung cancer, which is 80-85% of all lung cancer cases worldwide. In most cases, patients with early lung cancer symptoms get diagnosed with a common cold/cough & Pneumonia by doctors and get treated with common prescription medications for several weeks/months. Lung cancer tumors can grow significantly in these few weeks/months and can go from Stage 1 to Stage 4 pretty quickly. Stage 4 lung cancer is not curable.

Cansym operates on a dataset containing the symptoms for thousands of anonymous lung cancer patients and leverages ML/AI algorithms to create a risk profile for individuals based on their visible symptoms.
